Lao Shan

Lao Shan is a unique black tea from outside the city of Qingdao in China’s north-east province of Shandong. Grown on a family farm, the delicate, spring plucked and uniformly curled leaves have a deep dark color with an almost metallic sheen. The tea brews clear, bright orange with an aroma of molasses and leather. The flavor is complex and satisfying with hints if plum, lingering wood smoke, and a touch of umami sea air. A great tea to enjoy while getting lost in an epic novel.
