Muzha Tie Guan Yin

A traditional roasted oolong from the Muzha district located right outside Taiwan’s bustling capital, Taipei.  Muzha is one of the original tea producing areas in Taiwan, and this tea, grown from The classic Chinese varietal Tie Guan Yin, is masterfully roasted in the traditional northern Taiwanese style.  This medium roast oolong brews a pleasing auburn brown with toasted chestnut aromas and sweet and savory flavors.  The roastiness does not lead to any burnt flavors, but instead gives way to flavors of brown sugar, sweet ginger, and fresh baked cookies with a dry, slightly bitter finish.  A great tea to sip while writing a letter to an old friend on a rainy day.
