A high quality and intoxicatingly fragrant green tea scented with Jasmine flowers. Young green tea tips are rolled into small, perfect, pea sized pearls and then covered with Jasmine flowers. The green tea pearls become infused with the jasmine aroma and the flowers are removed leaving a pure green tea with the magical scent of jasmine.

Da Xue Shan

This high grown Chinese black tea from Yunnan’s Lincang region is an excellent everyday drinking black tea. Grown in the village of Mengku in the shadows of Big Snow Mountain (Da Xue Shan), this wirey black tea has an equal amount of golden buds and dark black leaves. The balanced one bud to one leaf picking gives this tea strength and subtlety. Earthy and bold, this tea brews dark, yet clean with bitter chocolate flavors, malty sweetness, and a dry finish. Great for an early morning breakfast.

Lao Shan

Lao Shan is a unique black tea from outside the city of Qingdao in China’s north-east province of Shandong. Grown on a family farm, the delicate, spring plucked and uniformly curled leaves have a deep dark color with an almost metallic sheen. The tea brews clear, bright orange with an aroma of molasses and leather. The flavor is complex and satisfying with hints if plum, lingering wood smoke, and a touch of umami sea air. A great tea to enjoy while getting lost in an epic novel.

Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong

A bold black tea from the Wuyi Mountains of Fujian Province, China. Small, tender, spring picked tea leaves are fully oxidized to create a dark and flavorful black tea. Possibly the original black tea variety, Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong is a popular tea in China and is famous the world over as the inspiration for Lapsang Souchong. Note that this tea IS NOT the heavily smoked Lapsang Souchong variety. This Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong brews bright and malty with rich brown sugar and fruit notes with a lingering sweetness. A enlivening black tea for a cold winter morning.

Dan Cong

This Dan Cong oolong tea, from Guangdong Province, is made completely with the Mi Lan Xiang (Honey Orchid Fragrance) varietal. This large leaf oolong tea has long, twisted deep green and brown leaves with an enchanting fruit and floral aroma. The brewed tea is rich golden orange with a medium body and surprisingly bold flavor. Not so subtle notes of peach, apricot, and honey dominate the flavor along with more delicate hints of sandalwood, cinnamon, and spice.

Huang Jin Gui

This early spring Huang Jin Gui (Golden Osmanthus) is a fresh, great tasting oolong from the famous tea town of Anxi in Fujian Province. This tea is similar to the classic oolong, Tie Guan Yin, but totally unique in its own way. Bright green, tightly rolled leaves yield a fresh taste and unique aroma. Floral and sweet with notes of cinnamon and spice.

Shou Mei Cake

A unique pressed tea cake made from Shou Mei grade white tea grown near the town of Fuding in Fujian Province of China. This tea cake is made from larger and lower grade leaves than some other white teas, like Bai Mu Dan and Silver needle, but is no less delicious. Large green, tan, and brown leaves are pressed tightly with large, fuzzy buds making for a striking and alluring appearance. This Shou Mei brews a full bodied liquor with earthy, sweet flavors. A slight floral aroma accompanies a smooth mouth feel with hints of porcini mushrooms and a lingering herbal finish. This is an excellent tea for aging. The stronger, earthy and herbal flavors will blend and mellow over time and the overall flavor will become sweeter with each year. A great tea to drink now or in 10 years!
